"It is a huge fan that takes up an entire 5.25" bay to blast your case with air."
Um, according to the NexFan site: "The Scythe Kama Bay takes up 3 of your 5.25" bays and allows you to add a 120mm fan hidden inside."
Not bad if you don't have plans on too many optical drives (most mid towers only give you 4x 5.25" spaces), but if you wanted 2 drives, you're SOL with this thing. However, if you have a full tower, with 6 spaces up top, this thing would provide some serious cooling to the top of that monster tower!
This is very quiet at 12.8 dBA. I wish I had enough drive bays available for it.
Thanks for the updated information #1
I have this in a lian li V2000b case. It does provide some airflow, its very very quiet, but not much air. But enough. =)
You can also mount this vertically, then it takes up 1 5.25 bay. There are mounting holes for it, and it notes that you can; I'm not just being a smartass.
I have one mounted in 3 5.25 bays, and it knocks the overall temp down a few degrees C. Not bad at all for something that is virtually silent.
