Newegg has the Seagate STAM3000100 3TB GoFlex Home Network Storage System for $180 - $20 off with coupon code EMCNBJN29 [Exp 8/12] = $160 with free shipping. A two part system consisting of the dock and the actual 3TB external HDD, allowing wireless file access and back up for multiple computers.
@rsherry, If you're trying to compare the two, then it's apples and oranges. The GoFlex Home is a network storage system and the GoFlex Desk that you mention is a standalone USB drive.
And the shipping is only "free" if you have Prime.
This doesn't allow, does not have wireless functionality.
They shouldn't have mentioned that it does, they are merely suggesting that if you connect it to your wifi router then you'd have it available wirelessly like you would anything on your network.
Still a good price, a bare internal 3TB is going for $157 or more on 'egg and this has a 3 yr warranty, although some reviews mention hassles installing software that's only available on the included CD or by contacting Seagate, required use of their software instead of a standard standalone NAS, and internet registration for the software.
I found this on Amazon.com with free shipping for $139.95:
Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Desk 3 TB USB 3.0 External Hard Drive STAC3000102
