In case anyone is interested, the 1TB Barracuda (Model: ST310005N1A1AS-RK SKU: 8490625) is still on sale at Best Buy for $190 + tax. They can't be ordered online, but if you can stomach going into the brick and mortar store, some still have them in stock. (You can check availability online.) This deal gets a little sweeter when you combine it with a 10% or 12% off coupon. Got one last night and popped it in my machine. Nice except for one thing. The Seagate disk tools software doesn't play well with 64 bit OS. The disk is fine, just no joy in the software department.

#20 lossless audio/video is a gimmick, since it is only as good as technology allows, so in 10 years, there will be lossless-lesser.

Hell, vision and hearing are not perfect, so nothing is lossless, except voting democrat. You loose and you get less.

If this is the same drive they use in the Freeagent external drives, this is a very good drive. I've been using 2x 500gb Freeagent Drives and they're fast, quiet, and reliable (so far).

Not bad at all, I like how the price of PC components keep dropping.
