    .192 Cents /Gb and no rebate nice, but it's a 7200.9!
Still it a nice price but,Like I need 500Gb more sitting around drawing watts or stacked up on other in the garage.

In that case, just make it easier on us and post a link to your wishlist at rainbowdepot.com so we know what to get you.

    LOL

C'mon Seagate, you have made enough money on 500GB now it's time they 'sunk down to a price-point we want bad enough to buy some more.

Where have all these people been who think every time they see a model number that wasn't upgraded, that there must be some hidden stash of two generation old hard drives that only Officemax knows about? 7200.10 is what you should assume you're getting, but soon enough you'll be surprised to get 7200.11 instead.

Lawnsprilker -- Didn't think you'd have such anxiety that my B-D was yesterday. Although if you're asking for wishes... One big garage that fits four cars, front back roll-ups and some extra space to do all my hobbies.
Ok, start the flake guns people I've got myself under two big carbon arc searchlight...

Dave_c -- hear what you're saying but, I would first go by the P/N and Seagate site linked ... or trust you? I'd trust the Lawyer' Montgomery maybe... I suppose if you want one and not an old 7200.9; buy it and if it isn't what you *wish* for just bring it back.

Although why worry just do this Wink

That was the whole point of what I wrote, pointing out that it was in error to go by an old, not-updated part number when people have been receiving 7200.10 for well over a year.

I know, pretending to have an answer is easier than looking at the proof of what others have been receiving for a long time.

This isn't a hard thing to grasp that Seagate doesn't keep making old generations forever and nobody stockpiles old tech so it'll depreciate, not when it's any major retailer instead of some schmo who set their price too high so they couldn't unload their stock.
