I'm in the market for a few new drives and looked at this model a few days ago. Even in 2010, it still has issues according to the user feedback.

Too bad, but my data is worth a little extra care.

The reviews on NewEgg remind me of the original Maxtor drives from years ago.
They were such junk with a huge early failure rate.
Didn't Seagate buy Maxtor?
