SATA3 is useless for spindle drive, it can't even transfer close to 1/2 SATA2 speeds.

Sata III 6gb/s drives never were at pre-flood prices.
Sata II 3gb/s 32mb cache HDs were being closed out so they were cheap. None of the dealers are selling them anymore except that auction site and those are selling for around $70.
