Darn, great price - 500GB is just right for those PCs the wife & kids use - they'll never know you saved enough on the build to buy yourself something extra for the holidays.

This is actually a pretty great deal, these drives are pretty fast. You need to buy some other stuff to get the free shipping though.

tax in Texas makes it less attractive with the shipping. I will wait for the after BF sales. I suspect Dell & others will be having good sales between Thanksgiving and Christmas to try to make some money before end of year.

Good deal IF it wasn't for tax and shipping. Fry's still has the 750GB 7200.10 for $80 w/ free shipping and no tax in NJ. Yeah, I know, it's a little slower and hotter than the 7200.11's, but I'm putting mine in a fan cooled enclosure and using it w/ USB, so that's the better deal for me. Plus it's the same 5 year warranty. Oh, plus Fry's is the Retail Kit (...not that I need it).

It is a sweet drive for a sweet price, thanks Ben! However, with Tax + Shipping, $68.37 just doesnt seem that great for now.

Newegg has a 750gb Samsung w/ free shipping today. Better deal when you consider the shipping and tax on this drive.

The "wife & kids" would do just fine with 100 GB.

#12, the Antec MX-1 enclosure is excellent.

The other thing is, the 20% coupon applies to many other items, including most of the drives they sell.

I settle for this drive instead. Thanks for the advice!

    http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-ST307504FPA1E3-RK-FreeAgent-FireWire400-External/dp/B000NDBRKG/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1227637465&sr=8-1

    I opened up a Amazon.com card and got a $30 credit so the drive was $80 for 750gb + 5yr warranty.
