why get 7200.11 when 7200.12 is the same price??

well, the link you posted says 65 for me (maybe changed since you posted) AND that 7200.12 only had 16megs of cache as opposed to the 32 in this 7200.11 but since the 11's are the line that was reported to have been failing at "an alarming rate" I would have to agree with you and go for the 12.
