    no they're from the 00's.

    some say this model is quiet, some say noisy. WTF? Failure rate seems to be higher than expected from Seagate. Also looks like it runs hot. I'm no WD fan, but I'll prob go for their GreenPower line or the Samsung EcoGreen. Energy efficiency is higher on the list than speed.

    Samsung has an ecogreen line of drives not ecopower.

    #3, thats the 1st time ive heard of the EcoGreen line by Samsung. Are they any good? There's not much out there in terms of user reviews on these.

    The reason this thing is so expensive is the 32mb cache system on it. Which I think it really high to have on this drive. I use 16mb cache systems on mine and I am very happy they are also close to $20 less with 16mb cache.
