Your math is flawed. $61.99 minus $59.99 is $2, not $3.

However, it would be a $3.40 savings given that the shipping for me is $8.40, not $7.

So we all know the Seagate 7200.11 drives are crap. Has anyone seen any reviews on the 7200.12's?

#5, pull your head out. the .11s had bad firmware, but that issue was fixed. I currently run a .11 in my server and have had no problems in 5 months of it being on 24/7.

#6. Just because you got one that works doesn't mean that they all work. And it's not just the drive BIOS problem. There are all kinds of reports of the drives dropping out of RAID arrays and other problems with the 7200.11's.
