Newegg has the Seagate Barracuda LP ST31000520AS 1TB 5900 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive with Rosewill Hard Drive Dock for $80 with free shipping. Good reviews from Newegg users.

Drive dock? That pretty much make it an external in a pinch?

Would be a good deal if the Seagate drive was 7200 rpm instead of 5900.

Boy, after all these deals, I have had enough docking stations now. Would be a good deal if they sell this drive alone for under $60.

It's a decent deal if you want the dock, but otherwise $80 is a nominal price these days for a 1TB. Save a few bucks with free shipping maybe.

#2, it's a low power model. If you want max speed you don't want this drive at ANY price. They do not typically sell for much less than 7200rpm models. Same thing with WD Black vs WD Green--the Green is maybe $5-10 cheaper at best. The 5900 rpm is for power consumption and noise, not price. This drive is not for you!

#1. Correct. I'm too lazy to follow the link but I assume it is USB0

I bought this combo a few months ago and put the drive in an HTPC, where I wanted a quiet drive. I am using the dock with a smaller drive for moving files around and back ups. If you want both of these, it is a good price.

A cheap dock (Kingwin EZdock) is $25 if you want to buy it separately. So the "real" cost for this 1GB HDD is $55. That's not a bad deal after all.
