Looks like a bad ass nas
For the money I'd rather get the drobo FS. With this, 3TB striped is all you get. With a Drobo FS, you're paying $130 more for the hardware without the drives, but then you're not paying for inflated drive prices and you can easily add different sized drives. The flexibility is worth the money.
Drobo gets very mixed reviews on newegg. And it's not hardware NAS, it's software, that's how you can use different drive sizes. Inflated drive prices? Drives are cheaper than ever! Plus the drobo needs a separate device to be a true NAS.
