    Seagate is now second in the hd's behing Western Digital, according recent posts. I still prefer Seagate over any. They stand behind their warranty.

    #4 - how exactly do they stand behind their warranty?

    When your data goes down the toilet, they send you a refurbed replacement drive? just like everyone else?

    On Newegg 51% one star (lowest possible) due to drive dying, I would run. In addition, if you get these big drives use a backup scheme, I backup one for one on my 750 gig drives.
