After the whole HDD lockup debacle, i'd wait a year before using another Seagate.
80% failed rate and seagate claimed there's no problem to this drive.
Everyone should have RAID 1 or 5!
Screw these external single disks...
I would contemplate suicide if I had all my sh!t on this and it died.
Raid1/5 doesn't mean you are safe.
I had a 6x80GB = 400GB array at home, came home one day and the computer was acting funny, the raid controller died and took all 6 drives with it. backup your stuff!
