Walmart has the Seagate FreeAgent Theater HD 250GB Media Player (ST902503CEA1E1-RK) on sale for $90 + $1 shipping = $91 shipped. Media Player features 1080i HD playback, and bundle includes FreeAgent Go 250GB portable hard drive and FreeAgent Go PC Dock with USB cable. [Compare]

Not a bad price but Seagate lost the Media Player war simply because they did not include HDMI (as well as a few other things) ..... twits!

Good deal considering you get a 250 GB FreeAgentGo ($40 to $70)and a desktop dock ($5 to $20)

So depending on how you look at it the media box is between $45 and free.

If you don't need HDMI go get it.

I need HDMI, so Sad for me.

And use Bing Cash Back for an extra 20% back at Walmart.com.

    @ bigking777

how do I use Bing for Walmart? Sorry if its a stupid question but didn't find Walmart on Bing store listings and they didn't come up when I Bing-searched for the product either.

So if I say the drive is worth $45 and the Dock is worth $10, then with cashback it is $72 plus tax, that makes the media player only cost $20, and that is good enough to go for. Smile

I will have to worry about HDMI on the next one.

@slingblade: What would you recommend that will play from the network? I've been looking at the Popcorn Hour, but they're quite a bit more than $100.

#5 go to Bing Cashback Stores and enter Walmart in search box. Then check the right side of your screen for the 20% off feature. Click and enter the info requested. I tried it but could not see the usual Bing Cashback message so best to email Bing if you have the same problem.

This may be a little late, Lenny, but sign up for a Bing account.
It's free and you'll probably use it in the future for other purchases.

Then go to the www.bing.com home search page. Enter the word "LCD" in the search box and you should see a Walmart link in the top four searches.

Click on the wprds "Bing Cashback" and the little money icon corresponding to the Walmart link.

They will redirect you to the Walmart page. Shop and checkout as usual and you will receive a confirmation email from Bing, usually the same day with your cashback amount.

You can request your check in 60 days.

This was unavailable for a while. As of this (Monday) morning, it's available again. Just snagged one for the grandparents. Handy for stuffing full of pictures and videos of the kids.
