    Not necessarily #2. I believe it needs to be certain demensions. Not sure if any current 2.5" will fit in a PS3.

    Yes, it should work just fine. Current PS3 I have uses 80GB Momentus and it is a standard 2.5 you can buy anywhere. I recently upgraded to a WD 500GB drive and it takes no more than 10mins. You will be required to format the drive once you turn on your PS3 and that takes less than a minute.

    apexi350z (#7),

    I have been considering SSD for my Dell D420. I am reading mixed reviews, some say that the write speed would be worse than regular HDDs. Any thoughts on that? I have seen SSDs in ebay for $250 which claims to have 100MB/s read and write.
