HITACHI Travelstar HD20500 IDK/7K 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s was on sale for $80 in Newegg
BUT, the major difference is the warranty and price. hitachi only has 3yrs warranty for $10 less, but the seagate has 5yrs warranty for $10 more...take your pick.
The specification on Seagate's drive says 3 years on Newegg web site.
Seagate's been putting out some junk of late. Lots of reviewers RMA-ing a 3 or 5yr warranted drive only to get back a refurb with a 90 day warranty...
