Not a bad deal.
I use an SSD for my OS (linux) and the Momentus 500 as /home and swap
and also a partition on it for windows.
The more often you open an app, the smarter it becomes.
*Things that get updated often (databases) wont see any improvement
With SSD prices so low these days, I would rather just get a 128GB SSD for $90-$100 for the OS and use a 2TB HDD for data storage.
I just got one last week for my PS3 slim. It boots up a lot faster but couldn't tell you about game play since I've been working a lot of OT. Don't have time for games now but this winter it should shine.
Newegg must have a boatload of these to get rid of....they keep offering them "on sale." I wish they'd drop the price on the 750GB; that's the only one I might go for.
