Who had 2TB 7200 RPM drives for $56 a year ago? Who even had green drives for that much?
#3, for example about 15 months ago Newegg had a Hitachi 2TB 7K2 RPM in a USB2 external enclosure for $70 - $15 coupon code = $55. IIRC this discount repeated at least a couple times. Unfortunately my time machine is broken so I have to pay today's prices instead.
Otherwise, even two years ago you could get a 1.5TB for $65.
