I don't know if the quality is there, but the price is right. So if they can actually deliver what they say, you may save 70%. I don't work for them but I did run a pair with my prescription through their site. $68 was the end cost.
I don't trust them any farther then any other web company... And the last eye glasses I bought were through a web company (Zenni) and I was *very* disappointed.

I have ordered from Glassesshop and Coastal Contacts. Both orders came through with no problems and were a fantastic buy. Coastal shipped faster, but Glassesshop was a bit cheaper for what I ordered. Both prescriptions seem to be fine, and I have a complicated RX. The orders shipped from within the USA.
Thanks for your input Mike... and the next time I order glasses, I will consider what you said. If progressive at +1.75 is complicated, then mine are. And the Zenni purchase was really a poor choice as the glasses arrived in good shape, but the prescription only works when looking askew. If I look at the outer edges I can actually read things. But not if I read directly. They did a really LOUSY job at grinding my lenses.
I can't vouch for other vendors... but Zenni really sucks. I sent them an email to complain... they replied with an empty response. I assume that they wanted me to know they received my complaint, but really didn't care.
So... Zenni SUCKS!!! And I hope what little I said here impacts their sales. I spent $71 for exactly nothing of value.

Honestly? I feel I diserve the loss of the $71 because I was conned. If I am conned, I diserve the loss. But the fact that I smeared ZENNI online does give me a little warm and fuzzy. Not enough to warrent $71, but enough to make me feel a smidgen better.
I hope the negative karma causes them to become a company that folds.
