Sounds great, pretty tight but also blocks out lots of noise. The plastic clip on mine broke after a few months - the one that covers the metal band that slides in and out to adjust the size. It still works, including adjusting, but disappointing in a $80-$100 headset.

These are good, but nowhere near as good as the HD555 for ~ $110, the HD555 are a whole next-class-up in headphones and if your budget made $81 acceptible, you really owe it to yourself to spend the next $30, because you'd have to spend at least $200 more to get the next equivalent step up in sound quality.

#3, so far as break-in, if you put a heavy rock song, w/lots of bass playing pretty loud (while you are not listening) and leave it running for a couple days, that is sufficient to loose up the driver diaphragm enough that (while it might not be completely broken in) it reaches the point where it's mostly showing expected character already.

These block out any noise around you - pretty comparable to earplugs even. Sounds nice also-

the studio i work in has 4 of these and i like the sound out of them over the other brands we have. they're about 2 years old and still are in great shape. i do agree that the construction could be better, but that just means you have to take care of them.
