    Do these keep the sound from bothering others?
    I cant find any info anywhere. Usually it would say something like "closed headphone design will not bother others".
    All I see is that they keep any ambient sound out but nothing if they keep the sound in so I dont bother others on plane or library.

    I own a pair of these FORBIDDEN and others cannot hear you. I have worn these on the plane and bus and they are well worth the money.

    Generally speaking most if not all noise cancelling headphones are a closed design meant to isolate both incoming and outgoing sound waves.

    Seems like a great deal, and I'm happy with a 210 that my son has, but almost everybody complains about its very thin cable.

    These are NOT noise cancelling headphones...they only "seal out" external noise (supposedly), but they are not noise cancelling.

    @dave_c
    Yeah not true noise cancelling headphones.

    My friend bought a set of Senheissers HD 555's and he cant take them anywhere because they dont keep sound in and bothers others around him...thats why I asked the question.

    ^ but HD555 are so awesome for the money that it's worth alienating a few people. While I'm sure these are good, they're not going to be in the same league as HD555.

    I was going to borrow them for a flight but after he showed me how loud they are to others around there was no way I was gonna borrow em. I dont want to be "that person" who is playing music so loud its bothering others.

    I ordered a pair of these cans. Hopefully they dont bother others cause I am using them for a xmas 5 hour flight and its the only pair of headphones I own besides ear buds which hurt my ears.

    ^ I can see the problem then, on a flight you can't get away if they start an attack.

    Out of Stock. Forbidden, if buds typically hurt you ears you may want to look for deal on Klipsch brand ear buds. I bought the Klipsch IMAGE S4 for my tiny ear canals. The smallest bud adapter that they come with is comfortable...although not as comfortable as the earlier model Klipsch which were smaller even. The image S4 have been for sale on amazon and newegg for around $35 regularly the last few weeks. The sound quality is very good for the money.
