Not bad, I'd go w/ the HD595 but those are usually twice as much as this deal. I have had the HD590's for 6/7 years and they still sound great.

Whoa! These are my headphones. And I thought I got a

deal on them for 120. I heard Sennheiser stopped making these for a while because some factory burned down or something, but now they are up and running again. Anyhoo, these headphones are superb and honestly the most comfortable I have ever worn at any price range. The sound is top notch too for the price, the only downside is that they are audiophile and the sound is not completely contained. The person sitting next to you on the plane can probably hear your music is you're bumping it.

These are great for quiet environments when nobody else cares, since noise flows in and out very easily. They sound fantastic, but if you want privacy or are in a noisy area, check out the Sennheiser HD-280Pro's as better alternative.

#2, that fire was back in 2004 and only one of four factories.

Great cans, great deal at $100. Easily better than Bose Triport.

As for the Senn 280 Pro I'd have to say 555 sound slightly better overall but if you're traveling and using them around others, the closed and foldable design of the 280 Pro makes it the better choice.

    Bose???

Comparing Sennheiser to Bose is like comparing Ferrari to moped.

    Bose are expensive overrated crap.

Grado and Senns are the way to go if you want a decent set of headphones.

OTOH Bose are for the poseurs at the airports.

I am considering these and the Grado SR85s. Has anyone here listened to both?
