Be careful with this, the ugly face of my one night stand is memorized by this foam. I do not know how long it will stay imprinted.

I got the 2" topper, but have yet to use it, waiting for the bad smell to dissipate. They are heavier than I thought. I think 4" may be a bit too thick. You don't need to sleep on mattress if it is that thick. You can just sleep on hard floor or carpet.

Is this actually a deal? I am warry of overstock that either sell overpriced things with discounts or very inexpensive and crappy things. Is $147 a good deal?

#6 - I bought some over-priced, crappy things from Overstock that I am very happy with.

#1 is misleading everyone. When he says "face" he really means his "hand".

I just bought a new mattress and while I was at the store I tried out the memory foam. I'm guessing it would be super nasty in the summer. It might be OK in the winter though. I can just imagine all of the oils and such that it would absorb over its lifetime. Get a waterproof mattress cover. Probably better in colder climates...

This is one of those things you don't buy without trying in person.

These things work great. If you're not a noob and don't sweat like a little baby when you sleep, you'll love this thing. It is no hotter than any pillowtop mattress after you get used to it. As far as body oils, I'd suggest you take a shower before you go to bed. That's what sheets are for anyway. How vile is that! If my mattress absorbed body oil, I'd consider myself a vile pig that needed to take a course on proper cleansing techniques. If you have any kind of hip or shoulder pain, this thing will virtually remove it. It's that good.
