Great price! However, the Cali tax and recycling fee will kill any deal for me.

Plus I really don't want to deal with Dell's uber crappy shipping. If you order one just don't count on getting it before X-mas.

I think it's a great price for a name-brand 42" TV. Even including tax and CA recycling ($25), it will be tough to find a better deal.

It doesn't specify it on the Dell website, but this is the 60 Hz model.

Looks like a great deal, but I don't know about just a 2000:1 contrast ratio? That seems pretty low.

But a 42" 1080p HDTV from a brand as respectable as Sharp... for under $600... that's hard to pass up if you're in the market for a new TV.

How's the sound on this compared to other 42" or similar LCDs? Anyone know (the reviews suggest it's bad)? This would be for my grandfather, so he won't be hooking up a different sound system. I know it's not awesome, I just don't want it to be really terrible.

#4 - Isn't contrast ratio kind of a misleading term now? Don't some companies use static contrast ratio and some use dynamic contrast ratio without explaining which one it is? I don't know which one Sharp uses.

Who cares about LCD 60Hz or the new 120Hz. Go with plasmas, it has 600Hz and 0.001ms!

nice deal but for me in CA is too expensive due to the tax and recycling fees.

fry's deals are good. but only for in store pickup.

this dell deal is pretty good when you consider the 20% cash back bing deal.

there will always be a better deal tomorrow, but today this one isn't bad.

Does it have split screen? I know, everybody laughs when I say I use side x side split screen but what can be better than watching two collage football games at the same time?
