I don't even want to know what BD-ROM profile 1.1 is.

I pulled the trigger. Great price. I even got the HDMI cable, paid tax and the price was only $131. Thank you Ben.

#2 Pays to do research. A lot of people complain they cannot play a full movie without the player hiccuping or freezing, even with the latest firmware.

You get what you pay for which is likely why this is cheap compared to other players.

I have a PS3. I would like a second BR player during times when my 12yr old is WarHawking (much to our dismay).

Whats the best bang-for-your-buck player ? I don't care about online content etc. ... no useless gimmicks ... just a BR player that has fast access, does not have issues with reading discs and does read 1080p media from USB attached drives. As you can see, the PS3 does all that ... but buying a second one seems a little overkill.

I have this player, its VERY slow loading but once its loaded it plays the BR media just fine. I have about 50 BR's old and new and haven't had any problems with hiccuping or not loading.

Wal-Mart has their low-end Magnavox BR player on clearance for $98 right now.

#11 I think I'd rather pay an extra $10 for the Sharp instead of the Magnavox due to Sharp probably being of better quality.
