nice to see BR coming down in price, I'm still waiting until it drops to under $100.
Yeah - a blue ray under $200; but, I'm still waiting until they're closer to $100 before biting. It's nice to see BR players on the market that aren't those crappy overpriced Sonys
hmmm.. so so reviews for the Sharp AQUOS TVs. anybody know stuff about their disc players?
waiting for Blu Ray players with DIVx to fall close to $100
In the beginning I was waiting for it to drop below $100. Now I've decided not to bother with physical discs any more.
#5 - Agreed.
By the time BlewRay players drop to $100, the whole thing will be obsolete. Sorny's exorbitant royalty and licensing fees prevent any cheap players on the market.
#3 - Aquos TVs don't generally have *quite* the level of PQ of Samsungs or Sonys, but are often on sale for significantly less. Third among the big three S manufacturers? As for their Blu-Ray players, I've heard they're awful. Firmware that's not updated often enough to read recently released movies, slow start-up/loading, etc.

Good to know #7 and #8.
I got one of these for free and besides the long start up and load times(which almost every player has) its worked for every blu ray I've tried. It's not network capable like most of the newer players but it does have a usb for updating the firmware.
The picture quality is outstanding.
these can play region B discs when you grab that firmware from sharp Uk site
no thank you, I will stick with a panasonic blue ray
Last Black Friday week I picked up a Sony and a Panny BD $150 each. Both over $200 now, well over suprisingly to me anyhow especially in this economy.
If peopel can wait until November, these prices are sure to fall big style.
DOES THIS POS stream the AUDIO thru the HDMI to the receiver?!?!?
Since I got a receiver with HDMI 1.3 audio processing
I do not want to use an addition toslink cable for the audio...
any takes?
