Why would you do that? You have 90 days to return, and they give you a total of 2 years warranty. Use your Amex, and you get 3 years of warranty.

Seeing as how my 2 year and 1 month old Panasonic Plasma just died (and I bought at 6ave with the Amex), I am now wishing I had paid a little more at Costco.

Of course, most (if not all) Sharps have banding or uneven lighting if you believe what you read. Looks like Samsung LCDs are the way to go right now if you are not going Plasma.
