      Good: Accurate color after calibration; energy efficient; numerous picture controls; understated, numerous inputs including five HDMI; understated, no-nonsense styling.

      Bad: Uneven backlight uniformity produces banding; delivers lighter blacks than some LCDs; poor off-angle viewing characteristics; lacks dejudder video processing.

      Bottomline: The Sharp LC-46D85Us picture quality issues will give many potential buyers pause, but its dejudder-free 120Hz refresh rate might find some fans. Specifications: Product type: LCD TV; Diagonal size: 46 in; Brightness (cd/m2): 450 cd/m2;

      That sound like a CNET editor's review #7, a lot of other reviews mention that they had no banding issues.

      I ended up buying a 52" Samsung but the Sharp was a condender on price, the banding comments by the CNET editor caused me to pause until I read a bunch of people saying theirs where fine.
