Plasmas' are not better regardless of personal opinion.
Have both, and LCDs are superior.
As for Aquos...YMMV. Even top of the line doesn't guarantee reliability. A first gen 47" LCD ($8000) croaked too soon. First the external tuner died, then the panel burned out.

Oh, and 6ave.com, they had a crappy rep over 20 years ago when they were only one store on 6th Ave. in Manhattan. Selling gray market and refurb goods as new. They are no J&R MusicWorld.
I'd shop with caution.
