What is so good about these cameras? I have never heard of this brand. It is not much to look at from outward appearances...
Sigma has been making SLR and dSLR lenses, flashes and the occasional camera for years and years. The DP1 was an attempt to create a pocketable camera with a high quality lens and large dSLR sized sensor. The resulting camera is considered more than a little "quirky" (or "annoying", depending) but has risen to something of a cult status due, in large part, to its esoteric sensor.
