Yea, umm, AT&T sells the service for the iPhone and they are required by law to give you the subsidy code to unlock your phone for free.

You have to have service for one month. Call them and they'll send you an email with instructions and the code for your phone. Then when you put in another sim card, you enter the code, and it's done.

Well, google's phone has a sim card but I'm not sure what else. It looks like every other phone with a keyboard dangling off of it. I'm not a fan of apple, but I don't see alot of competition for the iphone. Got damn that steve jobs.

There's no friggin' competition for the iPhone. I tried every smartphone in AT&T and Verizon's store. The only thing that came close was the Dare and it just wasn't nearly as polished, plus the web interface wasn't as good.

Sigh. I ended up with an iPhone. burp Apple.

People who buy the google phone are friggin' rodeo cowboy. Admit defeat - get an iphone and stop bitching about Apple. It's boring already.

#10 STFU I got the Iphone 3G and I got to say it has major issues.

So why don't you STFU and let competition be. Competition sparks innovation.

#17 did you eat dried turd of Steve Jobs?

That being said G1 is no competition to iPhone as handset. Some features of OS and plugins may be better. It is pretty much like sidekick except that it has touch screen and a different OS. What happened to Google Chrome anyone using it???

G1 is very much suited for high school girls for texting all day all night.
