    WTF is [re]drive ?

WTF the "naturally grown bamboo" has to do with the magnetic plates and other staff?

I'd prefer WD black or green HDs - they will save more energy and produce less pollution than this highly flamable bambo into your.....

I hate how they play on the "green" theme. The top panel is wood...but, if you take off that bamboo wood panel, there is still a metal panel underneath...so the wood is just EXTRA material that wouldn't have been there otherwise. Oh yeah...real "green."

I've got the 500GB one that I bought months ago on clearance. It has a WD drive inside, and haven't had any problems with it...although, I've only used it for backups 3-4 times...

Gets warm, though, if it's on for a long time. I can't help but think that the wood is preventing some heat dissipation out the top compared to al all-metal/aluminum construction.

Plus, the wood isn't sanded super super smooth or finished, so it "grabs" onto dust and it's hard to wipe clean.

I just went to frys and this one was not on sale, i got the regular one for 79.99, have back-up 2 computers and it worked fine, the software I had a hard time understanding, was hoping it would make an image of the drives but I dont see how to do it. It will burn an image but not make one unless I am missing something. Plugged into 2 computers and it loaded in seconds and was ready to go. SO far works good.
