SimpleTech's quality of their enclosures is baconnaise. this one is obviously all plastic. The last simpletech I had the hdd exploded. It was very weird. It sounded like the spindle that the platters rest on broke off from the frame of the drive. but the hdd was under warranty from seagate and replacing it didnt cost me anything. Smile

#1 sure it cost you... seagate gave you a crappy refurbished drive as a warranty replacement. My warranty replacement had to be replaced twice and I gave up and just threw the drive away.

    it does look flimsy
is that fake wood pattern supposed to make it more eco-friendly?
also of note, it is not a usb flash drive
