these drives are fast writing to.
I have the 320GB version of this and is not as fast or quite as I hoped.
It's probably bottlenecked by USB.
I have this and I like it. No complaints from me. It's a portable drive that powers off of USB.. 5200RPM is standard.
I am waiting until the 500gb drives are <$100. No deals yet
I've got a couple laptops that accommodate 12.5mm drives just fine, thanks. Of course, they all require BIOS overlay software to recognize anything beyond 528MB, but hey, I'm not complaining!
