These are great units. I have a 250GB one and it is fantastic with the backup SW as well as a place to put my videos/MP3s for when I travel...

but the price.... just use http://bensbargains.net/deal/82492/ and http://bensbargains.net/deal/82647/ you get to spend less money (eventually) and you get a lot more. backup software is lame. Always lame.

perhaps i may be mistaken (not sure about the "SimpleTech" brand) but i thought i just saw this at Costco today priced ~$150? its hands down the smallest 500GB external-HD i've seen. seriously ~ its literally just a wee bit bigger than my treo 755p

why are they still using 12.5mm drives when Samsung already has 9.5mm height 2.5" drives?
