Buy.com has the new Slingbox SOLO SB260-100 for $140 with free shipping. It has component video HD inputs, so that you can take a barely acceptable version of your home viewing experience with you on the road. Check out this review for more in-depth info.

This is a great product if you travel and don't like your options other places you stay.

I've never seen this used for travel. Most instances I've heard of have been people who are using it to watch the local news or sports back home after they've moved to another location, and no longer get the local sports.

We travel a lot, and that's when we use our Slingbox the most.

On the balcony at the place in St. Maarten or out by the pool in Cabo San Lucas, we were still able to keep up with politics during the elections.

No way I could live without our Slingbox.

And the reception in most every area was Very Good. Maybe not Excellent, but Very Good.

Got an old one ... use it regularly. Sometimes just to minimize and listen to the audio of TV news. Good stuff.

Just replaced my 1st gen Slingbox with a Hava Platinum HD. Software is a little clunkier and they don't have a Mac client yet, but they have free clients for smartphones (Sling charges $30) and they let you watch from multiple clients simultaneously (Sling only allows one client at a time). And the price is only $79 on Amazon.

    I feel sorry for you.
Distancing myself from the depressing corrupt self-serving politicians is the only way I stay even remotely sane.

Some folks call it a slingbox. I call it a kaiserbox.
