I've heard these things are really fun and fly a long ways but don't hold up too well. I've always wanted to try them out but never wanted to shell out the cash for heavy monkey shaped rubber bands.

If these have a parachute attached, you can bet that when you try to launch it, the parachute will prevent it from going more than 8 feet (or so).

#1, I'm with you -- who actually buys this crap, and why is this crap a "deal"?

I bought this for our 10th wedding anniversary (gave it a week ago). Kids loved it. Had my wife fooled for several days until I finally gave her the digital photo frame which I had loaded with 10 years of memories..

I bought three of these for the kids for Chirstmass, they still play with them one in awhile, which is more then most of the other things they got.

I've got one of these. Was a gift from the wife for my birthday. She let's me spank it regularly.

More seriously, I do have one. The kids love it. My 6-year-old says I have a sissy throw whenever I have trouble launching it (medical condition that makes using my hands difficult at times), which I find hilarious. The one I have does the screaming monkey laugh when launched, which I get a kick out of, but the wife finds annoying. But since she finds nearly everything I do or enjoy annoying, I'm unphased by that. Certainly worth $5.

I bought 1 for a buddy just because he has a good sense of humor and a few cats that like to destroy things.

#13 buys his "buddy" gifts. And his buddy has cats.
I think you can connect the dots on this one.
