Ends 3/10. Burger King is offering a Small Coffee (Hot or Iced) for $0.25. Excludes flavors and whipped topping. Not valid in AK or HI. Here's their restaurant locator.
A few years ago horse was so expensive in Europe that buyers would come to the US and ship the horses back over. My source: a guy who ran trail rides at kid's camps, he couldn't get many horses because he was outbid much of the time.
In a philosophical view, killing and eating animals seems primitive and even barbaric considering the cognitive ability of the human beings and the food choices we have now... but I'm sure that thought wouldn't resonant with Ghetto Dogs...
In an evolutionary view, eating plants comes long before primates, barbarians, or even cognitive architecture more complicated than stimulus-response.
What's even more mind blowing, there cannot even be "cognition" without meat-eating, the difference between needing to eat plant matter constantly to get enough energy, vs eating another animal every now and again is what pays for a large, energy-sucking brain. There weren't high energy farm plants like "corn" back in the primitive days, just small, sparse fruits and barely-worth-eating grains. Farming is entirely an invention of man, and the ability to outsmart, kill, and eat animals bought the surplus to settle down and develop those technologies.
I agree with your thoughts zz, however we are not at a point yet where enough calories and protein can be produced by alternative means to offset the meat that we are eating (and by we I don't mean here in US or western world necessarily just over the population of the entire plant). I think in the not so distant future we will be able to produce enough of both so that eating meat will not be necessary.
Pen your assessment is correct, however at some point in early 20th century we started to mechanize and automate the entire process of meat production. That has led to creating unhealthy and perhaps diseased creatures that we consume heavily as meat. That is probably the cause of more harm than benefit at this juncture.
All the animals I eat are vegatarian. And, look at the meat eaters; tigers lions and other meat eaters. Now, look at the vegatarians: Hippos, 'phants etc. What would U rather look like?
Any animal we aren't eating is on the endangered list.. Just saying! Us eating them is their salvation unless the get stuck in one of those nightmare factory farms! I wouldn't get anything at BK since I might run into that creepy King and not be able to control my urges to behead him!
seriously any comments about their local burger king and if they offered the a quarter coffee. mine refused and said they would start soon. was going to pull out my phone to show what it stated on bk.com but didnt want to waste my time

He said they were eating them, not riding them.

God made me an omnivore for a reason. Probably the same reason he made cows so damned tasty and broccoli taste like crud.

If they're putting pieces of meat in their coffee now, I need to start going to burger king more often.
