the actual blade is not all that long. For a good boar sticker, you want something that can get through the hide and really into the heart to stop a boar. Take a look at some of the knives from ESEE.

This isn't the sort of knife you'd use for flesh because of all the nooks, crannies, cutouts, etc in the handle. It would be a major PITA to keep cleaning it off.
