i believe this is the "james bond" camera that they used in casino royale. i think there's a james bond edition out there somewhere but no point in getting that really unless you're a james bond fan.
anyway, this is the cheapest i've seen it since i did research on it around november.
i went with the casio exilim s770 instead, which by the way is cheaper. the video is better on the casio...
when it comes to sony, you're basically paying extra $$$ for the brand name...
the only advantage this has over the current selection of digital cameras is the lens, which stays in the camera and doesn't extend out of the camera when it zooms. basically no extension = fewer moving parts = no way for the lens to get worn out from usage. also, it's easier to protect that way.
