Good camera, but there's the 5R and the 6 due out any time now. This is the price at the Sony web site, where you can also get an extra $150 off if you buy the 55-210mm lens and accessory.

Schmoe's right re: the same $499 price at Sony.com, but I don't see a way to get that price AND an additional $150 off for the lens and accessory (and the accessories are way overpriced - g $95 for a battery & HDMI cable, $50 for a 16GB card). If you want the lens + accessory you have to pick the $700 price on the (camera + 18-55mm).
Plus Sony charge >$40 for Tax, for my Zip.

Seems like there are a lot of shutterbugs that frequent this site. I'm in the market for a new camera. Was thinking either Micro 4/3 or a superzoom type. Not sure if I want to deal with the lenses and the ginormous size of SLR (+ lenses) make them difficult to bring along for travel. Any recommendations? Preferably I'd like something with a decent movie mode and GPS. I'd prefer to avoid Sony if possible since they hate their customers. Please PM me if you can offer some good input. ps: I want to avoid compacts due to low image quality and poor low light performance. Plus I already have a Lumix ZS7 (which presently has a lot of dust in the lens).
