My Sears had these marked down to $1.97 in-store, so I bought one. It's basic, but OK - everything works as it should. It's even worth $6. My main complaints are that the numbers aren't bright enough during the day, and the radio / alarm buttons aren't large / distinctive enough to work when waking up (with my eyes closed).
green led's are for fgts. go red or go home.
There's no indicator that the alarm has been engaged. Instead of glancing at the display, you have to move the selector to OFF, ON, ALARM to be certain. This is an easily forgotten precaution. $1.97 is too much. $6 is WAY too much.
#3, the easiest way to see what mode the alarm clock is in is to use the jog dial on the front right corner, if the alarm time changes, then your alarm is in set mode. Just move it up a couple minutes, then back down. I do it every night to make sure, or just leave it set (I work an 8-5) and turn it off on the weekends, and come Monday roll the dial to alarm, or the opposite extreme position and use the jog dial to add a couple minute to be sure, and take them back off. Perfect! I love the gradual wake up.
i got this from walmart for $6. it's ok. very basic and you have to use the dial to tune to the next station. basic but reliable.
