Just picked this on up in store last week and couldn't be happier with it. I had an old wood grain Sony Dream Machine before it, and this one is worlds apart from the old style. The new buzzer gradually gets louder and more frequent as the alarm progresses, making the initial shock and snooze response a gradual hello, welcome to the day wake up. The clock is also auto set out of the box, all you have to do is set your time zone and you are good to go. The alarm is set by one paddle, and hitting the snooze bar displays the date to get you all setup.

My manager loves it (helps me get up and to work in the morning)! It reduced my snooze time by 50%. Don't hesitate to get yours today.

Site to store takes a little while to get there though, I expected like 2 days but it turned out to be more like a week.

#2, ghetto dogs like you can't possibly appreciate a good product. I guess you shave with your cell phone, too. And of course your cell phone is easy to see in the dark.

Is it really that big of a deal that any other alarm clock might need set once (then not again for years assuming one with a battery backup feature) at first, or that it has full volume alarm? I prefer waking up to radio anyway but that's not foolproof because you might accidentally get bad reception or be half asleep and hit the tuning knob which on some radios will cause it to mute when it's off channel instead of loud static.

Cell phone is no substitute, because this or another clock radio can double as the room clock you see at a distance, especially in the morning or night when you aren't wearing a watch.

I wish I still needed an alarm clock. Sometime around the age of 30 I started waking up automagically every morning at 5:30. Let's hear from the over-30 crowd - are alarm clocks still relevant in your life?
