Bought this to go along with my Canon S3IS...had it for about 4 months now. The batteries are EXCELLENT, last a verrrry long time. My only complaint is the charge time and the heat put off during charging.
The batteries are made by Sanyo. They are the best.
Is this a "smart" charger, or does it charge very fast and mess up the batteries?
By the way, pedoph!le nuisance_sucks has been arrested.

Please change the word pedoph!le to the correct spelling. Thanks.

Oddly enough, I bought this to go with my S3is as well. And I have the same opinion about it. I like the batteries a lot. I think I've only charged them like 3 times in the past year and a half, so the charge time for me isn't THAT big of a deal.
However, I gotta say that the eneloop package at Costco is a bit better IMHO.
walmart has the same thing but better in rayovac hybrids. They hold charge for much longer and costs about 8.50 for a charger and 4 AAs
I would only go with these if they are rebranded eneloops otherwise eneloops are a better choice because they hold the current longer than any other competitor.
All rechargable batteries having the same heat-when-you-put-off problem anyway. this is a good deal.
2500mAh cannot be Eneloop. Eneloops are rated at 2000mah.
They traded the mAh for lower leakage so the Sony are not Eneloop.
I have eneloop in my DSLR and they lasted a long time.
I used to charge my high cap 2650 mah NiMH every other day in order to keep the charge. Not any more with eneloop.
I brought my Eneloop big combo with 8AA & 4AAA plus a travel charger (charges 4 cells) for ~$26 in Costco. So these are not really that good deal. BTW, I use a LaCrosse 900 charger at home.
i have these-not sure how they compare to others but i get a few months out of a charge for my wireless keyboard/mouse...

my we are all well informed, aren't we? I wonder why there aren't much in the way of ads by rayovac and sanyo?
good stuff
#1 get a decent charger with selectable charge rates. Slow for maximum battery life, fast for when you need them now.. I recommend the LaCrosse BC-900..
#6 If you took some pictures it would need more frequent charging. 3 times in a year and a half? Why bother buying a camera in the first place?
