I have one like this and it charges four AA batteries OR two AAA batteries, not "four AA and AAA batteries at a time".
Still it's a good charger.
Mot a deal. Target just had a similar Rayovac charger (good for 4 batteries) with 2 Hybrid AA's for 10 dollars. Add another set of 4 batteries for another ten and you have a better deal with superior hybrid batteries.
As long as we're threadcrapping, Costco has Sanyo Eneloop low-discharge sets for a dollar more. But the Sanyo set comes with 8 AAs, 2 AAAs, a charger and 2 C-size and 2 D-size adapters. The C and D-size adapter let you use the AAs instead of a C or D battery. If you look at the Energizer rechargeable C and D batteries, you'll notice that they don't have any more power than a AA (but cost a whole lot more).
The eneloops are a great buy.
