I've been not paying attention to gadgets for the past year but man, this is low for blu ray player compared to when it first came out when last time I remember "getting a PS3 is the best deal to get a blu ray player!" lol. I always wonder about people that buy these right at the height of their hypes

Samsung doesn't honor their warranty as they say they will. I'm staying away from them for a long time.

#12, you are hammered. According to cnet.com (looking at standalone players), Samsung seems to litter their best Blu-ray players list.

Samsuck players are VERY well known for poor performance and problems. Cnet, spare me.

Cnet is affiliated with Samsung, thus it has consistently be given high scores to Samsung product, even on samsung's crappy blu-ray players. Just take a look at all the ads Samsung is running on cnet.com...

I'm pretty sure this is the Sony player with no slow motion button. I don't use slow motion often, but I'd hate to not have it.

I bought one here from Sony Style. It didn't work. 3 days of talking to customer service and they had me send the remote back. Get the new remote in the mail and find out it's the base unit that's at fault. It's been a month and a half and I still can't use the damn thing. Not worth the risk in my opinion.
