too bad the bravia is the older v4100. the newer v5100 has 120hz motionflow

You need a 120Hz HDTV for serious video gaming.
no console gaming is "serious video gaming".. just expensive, and fun...but not quite too serious
#9, IMO a console is cheaper in the long run than PC gaming. A high end video card will cost as much as an entire console.
#10, that was true six years ago, but not anymore. $85 will get you a HD4850 that can play pretty much any game well.
I've read at hardforum and AVS forums that 120hz causes input lag anyway.
