Haven't seen this lower than $999. Sells for approx. $1300 on Amazon, and $1600 (!) at Best Buy.

#1, this is a Sony 46" 1080p so I don't think this is over-priced... You can't compare this with Westinghouse or Vizio brands...

if you can live without a tv, I suggest you wait. LED technology is becoming more common and these older set with CCFL back lighting are going to get super cheap.

Dang. 46 inch is too big for my room. But it costs the same as the 40 inch I am planning to buy. Why are't there any deals for 40 inch TVs.

I recently got the 46z4100 for $1388, so this is a good deal. This is the low end of this line being 60 Hz, but is worth $1000 bux. If you want 120 Hz, check out the 46z4100 on amazon/onecall right now. Its cheaper than the 46w4100 and has 10 bit, deep color and v color on top of being 120 Hz. All you have to comprimise on is getting a brushed metal frame instead of black (which looks better anyway).

Too expensive, there are other brands ala Panasonic that are a better deal
