i haven't been looking into too many tvs, but this is 52". general reviews are good but most say the view from the sides suck (like most other tvs...).

This is their lower end of the KDL-5100 series. It goes, S, V, W, Z.

I would STRONGLY recommend staying away from this model. I bought the 40" version of this and have had nothing but problems with it. If tempted, read about the complaints on the "AV forum". I'd go with a Samsung or LG if I could do it again.

I will say that Sony support has tried to help and is probably better than most company's support. It's just that there is not much to be done when the product is bad. I'm on my 3rd now, all with similar or different issues.
